Visiting lakes in Hokkaido. 阿寒湖畔から摩周湖へ。

My wife and I went to Hokkaido for three days. 
Arriving at Kushiro airport,we got on a reserved rental car went to  a hotel.

Next day,we went to Lake Onnetoo.


Lake Onnetoo.



The colors of the lake  are different by location.


We could see autumn leaves  on the opposite shore.



White birch trees.


Mt.Meakandake.


Mt.Akan-Fuji.


On the way to Lake Mashuuko, we could see Lake Penketoo.



We arrived at Lake Mashuuko.


Kamuisyu island.




Lake Mashuuko.


Onthe opposite side,


We could see Lake Kultusyaroko.


It was rainy at the first day, we went to a Japanese crane natural zoo at Kushiro.



They are very beautiful.








The color of the tail is white,just same as Pandas.

  9. I'm always interested in where you and your wife are traveling next! This looks like a remote spot with many lakes. The markings on the cranes are beautiful - such graceful birds.

  16. Your photos are awesome and the scenic shots made me so excited. That's because we both will visit Hokkaido this coming winter. I know it would be all white and too cold but we want to enjoy the special Sapporo Snow Festival.


    All the lakes are lovely especially the Lake Penketoo which is somewhat unique for its formation. Nature is always beautiful and amazing at times, just like the colour of the birds. Domo arigato gozaimasu!

  20. もう紅葉も進んでたんですね。ペンケトーの青がとても綺麗。オンネトーやオコタンペ湖の名前は覚えてるんですが、ペンケトーは記憶にないです。日本鶴の色をパンダの色で説明したのは面白いです。その通りですが。
